Carbon Fiber Products 1.6L DOHC by racing proven CF Company

Post by whiteraven »

This time this is for real...no newbie company, but an actual company willing to make REAL Carbon Fiber parts (full replacement parts, i.e. lightweight) for the 1.6L DOHC engine (Lanos and Aveo).

So what can WE ALL DO??

Participate... if you would TRULY (you would buy when its available) interested, they will produce. The best part, we only need 5 participants to get started.

First up product is an engine cover, similar to the one I previously had. Smooth top, pre-drilled mounting holes and oil cap hole. Mold will be created for a Factory Stock engine cover so it will have a perfect factory fit.

Similar to this, but they promise a much better quality product.

Best part, they say they can make these for only $150 a piece!!!

So come one people, lets step up...first an engine cover, next others stuff.

Oh, and they can do the "colored carbon" weaves as well, with the colored Kevlar mixed into the carbon fiber weave.

I wouldn't mind it...how soon would I need the money? I could use Christmas cash. What other parts are they thinking of making?

The 2.0L would probably be more popular.

engine covers... What is the point changing 2lbs cover with 1lbs cover for 150$?!

If you will make carbon fiber hood for lanos with bad look, then it's a business... 8)

In the UK it's usually know as a "bad boy bonnet"

Basicly the hood covers part of the lights like eyebrows to make the car look more aggressive.

Here is a normal Lemans without a badboy bonnet....

Here is Tom's (well I guess I should say mine now... sounds weird to say that) with a badboy bonnet conversion..

Hoods are a future possibility, but the cost of tooling and molding is so much greater that they want to see interest in smaller products first. After they get some good results, they are more then willing to produce larger items like hoods or trunks/hatches.
