timing belt

Post by MMamdouh »

a friend of mine aquired a '05 1.6 DOHC nubira that was parked for 2 years... he is worried that the timing belt might have gone hard and might snap... is it wise to replace it or just drive it? car got only 4000 kms (2500 miles) on the odometer.

I would change timing and accessory belts only. And brake fluid.

if he is concerned, id change it. if he drives it and it snaps, you know the result. the way i see it, if your wondering if you should, than you should
