It's time to say goodbye

Post by greatiliad »

today,my woo(2000 lanos) was broken on the skyline drive, middle of shenandoah national park, about 110 miles away from home.
Such a beautiful place, I have to say.
I have the whole set of tools in my back trunk, then I check it.
Finally, I find the crank shaft axle was broken into pieces, the axle drive the crank gear( then drive timing belt etc).
If I want to fix that, probably I need a new engine or replace the crank shaft.
And I have to think obout how to go home.

I call the tow company, and just give the car to them for free(I can not leave my car there, and can not afford to tow it home).
They tried to give me a ride to rental comany, but all car rental company are closed.
Finally, I and my wife hold a borad "HELP RIDE".
We are lucky and arrive home.

I guess the crank shaft got hurt when the time belt broken last time, the crank shaft distort a little bit.
which cause all kinds of problems these days.
like the check engine flash, crank gear broken...... etc
this time , the crank shaft itself broken.
I believe the job to install the crank gear and crank shaft pulley is not so difficult.

anyway, it is too late
