Hi
I have a Nexia 1.5 L which has a typical problem. I changed the ignition coil of my car as it was not giving spark to plug numbers 2 & 3. The new coil worked well for few hours. Then it also stopped current to plug numbers 1 & 4. I again changed the coil and it also worked well for few minutes and now it is also giving current to plug number 1 only. What the hell is the problem?? If it was ECM, then it should not work for the few hours/minutes which it works well after changing the coil. Please Help. Here I would like to say that the spark plugs are brand new (Bosch).

and what is the correct P/N for NGKs for the 1.5 SOHC? the NGK site only lists the 1.6 DOHC engine.

wires are in good conditions.....
wires seem to be in good condition as i have tried swapping them and they work perfectly for the number of plugs the coil gives current to. The spark plugs are also of nexia standards. What else can be the problem???

The 8v sohc are fitted with NGK BPR6E-VG (gap 0.8mm)
I've always found NGK to be tops. I think the worst plugs are champion.
that will be BPR6EYTurtle_Wax wrote: The 8v sohc are fitted with NGK BPR6E-VG (gap 0.8mm)
