UD pulley, good or bad feedback.
Hey Guys, I know I can search the forum for this old topic but,
I wanted new feedback good or bad, from people who had the UD pulley installed for a long time.
Forenza, Optra, Lacetti, Lanos, Nubira, Leganza owners
Thanx in advance guys,
Arvin

T18SED Engine.

I've had it for about 4 months now, and no problems. Performs exactly the same way it did when I put it on. Only thing is that I don't think the alternator produces as much voltage as it is supposed to when idling because at night I can see the dash lights dim slightly when the engine drops to its lowest idling speed (~850rpm). Regardless, I've never had a problem with starting or the battery not getting charged enough.

Wow...that suprises me. Although I do have ground wires upgraded and better battery I also have a 3600watt sound system and only on songs with extream bass and the system way up at night at idle is the only time I get any light dimming.exist3nce wrote: Only thing is that I don't think the alternator produces as much voltage as it is supposed to when idling because at night I can see the dash lights dim slightly when the engine drops to its lowest idling speed (~850rpm). el UD pulley performs great
revs go up and down fast

DAEWOO Nubira 2.2L Turbo 217whp 204tq @13psi SOLD
we used a light weight pully on the 2.0 nubira rather than an UD pully, engine gains revs faster than the OEM one and we still keep the same output from the alternator and PWS pump.

I've had mine the longest of anyone.... since I got the original prototype.
No complaints what so ever.... made the power steering feel slightly different.... just slightly more effort... but I like that... it made me feel the road more.
No electrical issues.... overall it's been a good upgrade.
My car made 126whp with an UD pulley, CAI, 2.5" stainless cat back exhaust and a magnaflow muffler.

'97 2.0 OPEL Vectra... the pully is the same size as the OEM one on the T20SED but it is made of aluminum so it is so much lighter than the OEM one.Aneab wrote:Where'd you get that pully?MMamdouh wrote:we used a light weight pully on the 2.0 nubira rather than an UD pully, engine gains revs faster than the OEM one and we still keep the same output from the alternator and PWS pump.

Hey Thanx for all the feedback guys.
Nice numbers chris
Hey MMamdouh does the pulley from the later model Vectra (here Chevy Vectra and we don't have the 2.0 we have the 2.2) the same does it fit the T20SED too.
Kindy difficult ? isn't hahaha
If you know then great but if not no problem.

T18SED Engine.

we don't have the 2.2 vectra here but knowing the fact that a T22SED is a stroaked T20SED and the daewoo engine is very very much like the OPEL engine (since they are both GM) then i am 99.99% certain that the 2.2 pulley will fit the T20SED.
try to get an extra pulley from your local mechanic or take off the one on your car if it is possible to make a comparison before you buy the vectra pulley... the 4 holes as well as the port in the center should alighin perfictley.

I'm not talking about dimming when music is pounding, its just that as the engine revs down to the minimum the lights get slightly dimmer if you look closely. They go back to normal brightness as soon as I touch the gas (revs at 1000rpm+). It doesn't really seem to affect anything, its just something I noticed.kinkyllama wrote:Wow...that suprises me.
