Strut Bar
I just fitted my strut bar and it was very hard trying to get the three bolts to line up.
I managed to get it on in the end but one nut both sides had to go on upside down so that it would start to get grip (not enough clearance the right way up) - once it was upside down and I had to grip i could tighten it right up so that it would go on snugly.
It's all on properly now, except for having two nuts upside down - Is this going to give me any problems?

hopefully it shouldn't give any problems with the two nuts upside down, as long as their tight enough.
just curious... did you have to jack the front of your car up when fitting the strut bar? or did u just do it as it was standing there?

Cargo cultism is a beautiful thing as long as you never fall for it.
Did it standing.
Was I meant to jack it up?
lol
Seems to be holding well, did a couple of U turns and seems much more sturdy

nah, i'm not sure if it needs to be jacked up, i just thought that it had to be (had a weird picture in my mind of my car collapsing as soon as i took those nuts off... lol)
well if you can do it while the car is standing on its own 4 wheels... i'll do it too.
firstly... need a job let alone the money.

AFAIK strut bars are to be fit with the car weight on the wheels to keep the chassis at the correct geometrical shape during the installation.
i didn't get what exactly was the problem so a couple of pics for the mentioned bolts will help us better judge what you are experiancing.

exactly... you can take off all three bolts and the car will be still standing upright... only problem os if you hit a bump fast enough to lift the car's weight of the struts and they came lose off the tower, you will lose control over the car and crash.

thanks Dave
and if you could please show some pics of wat it looks like that would be great
No, although I had to remove the bolt that holds the tank in place in order for the strut bar to fit first, then put it back after strut bar was done.JohnnyC wrote:Is it applying downforce pressure on the coolant tank?
