Whats the go with taping X's on headlights?

Like the subject says - whats the go? I saw the Intimidator website was back up and one of the new photos they have shows headlights with X's taped on them?

I also love this pimpin lasagna

Can anyone say phat??

Maybe its the new style

Or they broke their headlights, but im loving the lasanga!! So solid yet streamlined

the reason why they have the x's is b/c when they race on the track if they get in a wreck the plastic doesn't shatter as easily and go all over the track. and i like the fornt bumper but the back bumper is just too low for me. well not really low but it seems stretched out.
