i think it will be a pain in the ass man... the parts list you got to get is horrifing:
front drive shafts with ABS rings
rear drum brakes with ABS rings
4 ABS sensors
ABS brakes pump
and i think you'll need a control unit for the ABS... not sure if it is a stand alone system or intigrated into the ECU
not to mention the installation and wiring will be a bitch in such country and even if you got the finance, parts and the know how... what are the benefits??
you know we drive in dry conditions 99% of the time so the real need for ABS does not exist... i'd rather keep this untouched as it is a major safty device that i don't like to mess with.
OK maybe i havent driven an ABS equppted car to test the feeling but lots of you guys have that... if you drive 360 days of the year on dry tarmac, would you really need ABS??

I've driven plently of cars with and without abs and although abs is nice to have when i was first learning to drive or when im unfamiliar with a car during rush hour once you learn the car I rather not have it. It doesnt rain here a whole lot (some 9inches last year) but ive never actually thought in any situation that I wished I had had them

i like abs for daily driving, especially in sandy, wet, icy conditions where traction is compromised a lot. i can see why he would want it... it's a safety factor anyway.
as for all the parts needed i haven't the faintest idea. i would assume...
master cylinder
axles
abs pump
abs computer
who knows what else

well here in Aruba doesn't rain that much, it does rain in dec till march but not all the time but this is our raining season,
last week when I was driving and it started to rain and I was driving like 80 and suddenly a guy stops his car to turn right and didn't show the signlight, man I had to floor that brake pedal luckily my car has ABS and thank you for that I didn't wreck my car.
but a strange noise came on when i push the brake pedal hard I thought I was braking on my wheels.
Very strange.
I think if it doesn't rain why put abs.

ABS is good... adding it to a non ABS car is a bitch.
