gt28 is about right

or a t3-super 60

depends on boost level too... but those will get you close to 15-20psi if you want

we will be running on stock internals so max. psi we will be looking at is some 7-8 psi.

we still have to look at the financial side of the project as we will have to import most if not all the needed parts.

how much HP are we going to gain by using the gt28 turbo and run it at 7 psi? i know that depends on many other variables as fuel managment and all but i am looking for a rough estimate.

indeed... we have to find an exhaust manifold and oil lines and fuel managment system though... most probably will have to import that stuff.

are those available in the US? how much money are we looking at? and most importantly; do we need something else??

GT28RS is one of the best turbos out there, but its not always the most perfect choice. The things to consider is desired boost level, balance between boost and lag, and future increase in boost... When selecting turbo, one must ask themselves the following:

- is it going to be street setup (low lag), or drag setup
- how much boost do I need
- will there be boost increase in the future?
- desired budget

So its not all that simple afterall.

WIth increased boost you need to supply more fuel to keep the motor happy, and prevent leaning-out and detonation. For about 8-12psi of boost, something in the range of 36-44lbs/hr would be very much sufficient (as opposed to stock 21lbs/hr). This again also depends if you need more boost in the future. 36lbs would run at about 90% duty cycle and would not leave much room for the future. 44lbs would run at lower rate, thus leaving room for higher boost in the future.

I am not saying this is a bad turbocharger. Just not everyone can afford this particular unit...then its basically a choice between what one can afford, and what is available in that price range.
