There are a lot of options and some of them end up looking strange.
The main problem with the LED bulbs is that they will end up looking dim or blotchy.
I had the 9-LED 194 Bulbs installed in my Lanos, and while they were bright, the 36 different bulbs had different shades of blue making for a very strange looking dash with one side a little turquoise and a little brighter than the other. I was unimpressed.
What I recommend that you do and what I mean by "right" is to get the single LED 194 Bulbs and a couple of small neon tubes to make the color even, uniform and bright.
I've changed my dash lighting 4 times now and I wasn't really happy with any of my work. I recently put in orange lights, and I must say, it looks good.
