air conditioning problem

hey guys can someone tell me i have a problem i start my car with no dramas soon as i turn my air conditiong on it stalls its been working fine untill today so i had to keep my foot on the gas pedal so it wouldnt stall an then there is the cold air comes on then stops then starts etc. can you tell me what you think it is.

sounds like something wrong with the electronic control for the A/C... when it engages the engine RPM doesn't rise and also it triggers and turns off the A/C compressor too many times.

i think you need to check the electrical components of the A/C system.

rev the car and turn the ac on while you have it rev'd up to about 3k and see if it tries to stall the engine.



from the sounds of it... your compressor is shot. that would account for the on again off again cold air and the stalling that's going on.
