my check light is still on

hi guys i have some dramas i put in a new idling sensor and a throttle body sensor and my check light still comes on, the revs are high and the speedo wont work now this only happens every few days the goes drives normal speedo work then other days the problems arise can u tell me what u think it is.

did you get the correct parts? assuming you did then you need to make sure they are installed correctly then reset the ECU and then follow the correct idling procedure.

high revs could be due to bad TPS sensor (if revs are up to some 2500 ~ 3000 RPM) or a bad IAT (if revs are somewhere arround 1500 RPM).

the speedo thing is not related to the sensors although it can trigger a CEL... check the speedo sending unit on the tranny case and see if it is properly connected.

i actualy had a nissan that the gear on the speed sensor melted (plastic gear) and would start to slip at times till it just compleatly cut out. i say pull it out and check the condition of the gear.
