02 sensor (lambda sensor) on C20XE or 20XE

Why this sensors (on exhaust) have 3 wires plus ground?
Isn't 1 wire enough?

What is the diference between 20XE (with 02 sensor) and C20XE?

moin,

2 wires are for lamdaheating, if i?m not wrong...
i think, the 20xe have this sensor to make a better mixture. the c20xe need it, for same reason and to reach the exhaust gas class.
the 20xe had a handful more HP...
