A stock 1.6L DOHC Lanos should be around 84WHP on a dyno.

It should make around 94 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

These are based upon tests on an Aveo but the power levels should be identical.

The difference between the "factory numbers" and these real world numbers are due to drivetrain losses.

Here is the dyno results for the Aveo....the red lines are the stock numbers.

i saw on a post arround here that their was some guy that farted during the dyno and that affected the results of the tests... the post didn't mention if the fart added or took off power though

on october 1st i'm going to dyno my lanos with the following setup...

cold air intake
axle-back REMOVED

i figure it's pretty close to stock, the numbers may be a few hp higher, but nothing drastic

in december i'll dyno my other lanos with the twins

The Aveo is 103hp @6000rpm and 107lb ft @3600
The Lanos is 105hp @5800rpm and 106 lb ft @3000rpm

So perhaps the Lanos might have a fraction more power... say 86hp and 94lb ft of torque.

The engines use the same block and both have 9.5:1 compresion ratios

In other words.... yes.... the intake and head might have some differences but they are the same motor.... they were both manufactured in the same engine plant.

unless your car is set up for the intake, i doubt it will make a difference, maybe even less. i was told that it makes the car run LEAN...and produces reduced readings and performance, unless the car is set up to run like that, ie chip, or ECU remap etc.
