Choco chip , cold air and SPARK

Post by www.forenzamotorsports.co »

Ok I understand these chips cause your car to run richer to gain HP but has anyone actually installed a plug to increase the burn to help balance it out? Like a splitfire spark plug? Then make the gap for a hotter burn?

Thoughts?

Also I would like to find an affordable filter that has the inlet port to attach to a hose going under the car for cooler air...I've seen some thing like that in the past...thoughts?

i ran a choco-chip and denso iridium plugs... after i installed all that, i would have sworn up one side and down the other that there was a performance increase, as well as a MAJOR gas mileage decrease.

however

i took my choco-chip out (well... it fell out aparently) and i can't tell a difference in performance... just in mileage. i really don't think they are that great of a performance increase... but that's my personal opinion.

the plugs rock though

EDIT - mileage DECREASE with choco-chip

Are you saying you got better miles per gallon or worse? If you mean better that would be the first I have heard of that.

I'm pretty sure he's saying worse. Because I have it installed and only if you shift over 3k it's worse. If you shift before 3k rpm it's the same as without it.

So in the 2.0 automatic it would be pointless unless I'm flooring it all the time?

i'm thinking that a shift improver would be a better choice of upgrade for an automatic, but i dunno if they made one that would fit the suzuki (i could be wrong). there are far more effective upgrades than a choco-chip
