no pressure

Hi

i notcied that when i change my fuel filter that there is no pressure as before.

what is the reason? is it the bad injectors

something is letting the pressure out of the fuel system... in my case it is the leaky injectors... it could be a faulty fuel regulator or a tiny hole in the fuel line.

if the engine startup is a bit hard (needs too many cranks) and associated with sputtiring and black smoke at the first few seconds of running then it is the injectors.

to check your fuel pressure regulator, after you turn the ignition key and hear the fuel pump; turn the ignition key off then take of the return line off the regulator (make sure the engine is clod so it won't catch fire) notice the tip of the return line for some 2 - 3 min. if fuel keeps on comming from it then the regulator is bad.

if both are OK then their is nothing left but the fuel line... i suppose their is a check valve at the pump side to prevent the fuel from returning back to the tank through the pump's line but i am sure if that does exist or how to check it.
