Erratic Idle.

Post by Aneab »

Whenever I've got my Nubira up to operating temp or a little below operating temp... and I'm driving the Idle, whether it be from a stop or coming to a stop, begins to surge slightly. It's not smooth, it almost sounds like I have some mean cams in the car! Problem is, I can't quite pin down the reason... I'm suspecting EGR valve, or Vacuum leak... I have no codes and the car runs fine when under normal driving conditions... until i come to a stop...

I have put in new:
spark plugs
plug wires
Ignition Coil
new timing belt (rechecked timing)

none of those items listen above have helped... maybe you guys can help.

Any ideas?

Not even a day... and i nailed it down! after driving it getting it hot and then being confused for a while... I unplugged the EGR valve and the car ran true... i'm pretty happy knowing i tracked it down!
