Hello my 2001 Daewoo Lanos is getting 7mpg. I recently changed its head gasket. And the timing is off by a hair. But its not burning rich. Its just eating gas. There are no leaks. The Only way I would know what is wrong with the sensors is an OBD 2 scanner which I don't have at my convenience. There are studs on and by the intake manifold where tubes go. When I did the head gasket job they where pulled out and now I dont know where they go Any of these could be affecting my fuel economy. I will have pictures up soon of the studs. Any clues guys. Daewoo lanos 1.6L 4cylinder
Thanks
Mike

well if your in the usa go to autozone and get a obd2 scan done, that can tell you alot. figuring out where those tubes go will help out alot. and with the timign off it can hurt economy too. i say get those 3 things sorted out and you should be good to go. also make sure you ahve new spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filtr, air filter, and freash oil.

Among your other problems I think you may have a thermo stat stuck open. I sugest replacing it. A thermostat stuck open will kill mpg
