I just picked up a 2000 Nubira SX as a second car - 5 speed, power accessories, and A/C. It only has 26000 miles and seemed a decent enough car for $4000. Car basically is spotless inside and out and was, obviously for that amount of mileage over 4+years, has seen little use. Even has a year of extended warranty left which the local dealer has committed to honor.

Anyway, I went online to try and find out a little more indepth info on the car and found this site. I know that Daewoo is no more, but the car really seems to be in such great shape, and with all the features it has, was hard to pass up as an inexpensive second car. So I was wondering of any glaring known problems with the car that I should look out for? Or even any other issues large or small, that I should keep an eye out for? As is, the car drives and rides great - not even any squeeks or rattles! Only thing I have noticed so far is the gas mileage is not all that great, but other than that, seems like a great little car.

Any and all input appreciated!

Pic: funky gold color but as long as the car gives good service I can live with that I guess *L*

not sure if US has this problem... but in EU the cars front triangles has a rubber in it that tends to go bad after a while (could be changed already) should your car have the feeling of pulling one side on accel and other side on brake/decel.... then those could be worn.... and ofcourse like acingteam said timing belt replace it on 60.000km or a bit later personaly i prefer 60.000km (sry dno miles by head)

Thanks for the input guys! Did some more digging around online and found this for info for anyone else who didn't know of it.
Manufacturer Recall Daewoo Nubira, years: 2000-2002
Number Potentially Involved: 38,181
Problem: A crack can develop in the outer rubber layer of the front brake hoses resulting in brake hose rupture, brake fluid leakage, and loss of vehicle braking. Dealers will install new redesigned front brake hoses.
