hi guys i would like to know if astra f suspensions/springs would fit on a 2000 lanos 1.4 se

it is a possibility... but make sure to measure the coil diameters at both ends to ensure that they will fit on the lanos' struts.
we've had this discussion before about whether the astra/kadett E springs fit on a lanos, which they dont.
you might even have better luck looking to find springs off an astra G as they're supposedly a closer fit to the lanos when you take into consideration the age of the cars (Lanos production started at around the same time as astra G)
speak to a few mechanics who know a lot about GM cars.

i bought bilstein -30mm springs from a 1989 astra gte and they didnt fit on the lanos' struts - with som modification they could possibly, but not easily or 100% safely.Efrain A. wrote:why do you same mk2 suspension doesnt fit the lanos?

on the struts, there are the round-ish cups that the springs sit in around the dampers - the springs wouldnt fit in there, if we were to bodge it they' would have no doubt bent some parts by now or maybe even have come out of place.

it might be that there was a change in the lanos' struts between '97 and '03, because my lanos was one of the last produced for the uk market around the end of 2002 and beginning 2003.
at the end of the day... the springs from a 1989 mk2 gte didnt physically fit on 'my' lanos' struts... 2 mechanics were at it, i was standing there watching - they tried putting the springs in evry which way possible and they didnt go. and these werent 2 mechanics who dont have a clue, because one used to work as a GM specialist for a little under 10 years and is currently working for mitsubishi, (servicing, repairing and test driving lancer evos). the other has been a mechanic for the best part of 40 years and has worked on thousands of GM cars, mainly vauxhall.

now it's slammed -70/-50 mm
