exhaust for 1.6

i was looking to upgrade my exhaust system, i know the engine in my is an astra (mk2? friend told me) and was wondering if the exhaust system would be the same if not would it be hard to make it fit

that's actually a good question, the mk2 and lanos are both built from the "T-body" platform so my first responce would be yes, you'd just have to mod the section from your manifold to where it runs under the motor, perhaps the hangers too.

i have always wonder coz mk2 engine did not have a 1.6 16v as far as i know, but the mk3 did.

As far as i know, the wheel base is shorter than the mk2?

And there's less of an overhang from the back wheels to the bumper so the backbox might be a pain, as it might be too long.

not sure about the wheel base, but the over hang does bring up a good point. even thought they might fit together is it going to look proper!?

Mk3 astra is the same underneath as a mk2 astra, concidering they have engines with similar sumps, so the downpipe will be the same, then it's a straight tunnel to the rear axel, which is the same as mk2, then the overhand is similar aswell.
