Ahh that makes more sense...... probably won't have any comparison runs. I wouldn't even dare goto a track with this stock suspension the way it is now...... its downright terrible and borderline dangerous.

Sorry I was really sick when I typed that. I meant in straight line performance. I'm sure it makes a huge improvement

KW installed

Post by exist3nce »

Got the KWs installed today :D:D:D

What a difference........... night and day! I'll have some pics up soon of how the car looks (lowered more). Definitely a harsher ride, but well worth the tradeoff for the handling capabilities. Simply put it is better in every respect. Can corner faster, harder and with far more confidence. Steering feel is also much more responsive. I think my 0-60 time would be much improved as well due to the minimal squat now on acceleration and gear change. Additionally, most of the brake dive has also disappeared.

Thanks to Kinkyllama (Danny) for carrying this product and smooth business transaction.

I want to....... that is the intention for these new mods. Right now I'm having some issues with the clutch slipping, but I'm working on getting that sorted out with Garrett. I can't push any more boost until the clutch holds the torque.

Track day ... finally into the 14's

Post by exist3nce »

Couldn't resist any longer, I went with a group of friends to the drag strip.

Best time: 14.5 @ 99mph

Also I ran against my friends MazdaSpeed3 and just edged him out once! lol

Nice time, but I have to say that the MS3 driver may have been the reason for the loss as most MS3 run 14 to 14.5 completely stock.

Even light mods will push the MS3 down into the mid 13's pretty easy with some running mid 12's with just an extra 40whp.

You should post on dragtimes.com..... if you put it under Suzuki Forenza you will be the fastest by atleast a couple of seconds

Whats funny is that this MS3 is not stock........ hes got downpipe, exhaust, FMIC, COBB accessport, coilovers, sway bars, etc. His best time that night was 14.0 @ 105. Ofcourse driver plays a big part and he was spinning a fair bit in 1st and 2nd gear, but still on average he wasn't that much quicker than me. Also tracks in the US always somehow pull better numbers than our track in Toronto for the same cars:?
