Well, I don't know if they're little mods. Raising compression and a totally reworked head does wonders for our engines as our stock head design is a little on the restrictive side. But yeah, I though that too. A 1.6L puts about 90 hp to the wheels stock, and +52 hp to the wheels means something like +90 at the crank, almost doubling the HP.kinkyllama wrote:are you freakin serious? Thats the 1.6, right? Thats a crap load of power from such little modsAudacityracing wrote:minus cams... on a NA motor, i'm putting 142hp to the wheels
10:1 compression (shaved deck)
stock internals
reinforced valve springs
mechanical tappets
teflon seals
port matched
polished
valve diameter reduction
that's just running a cai and cat-back with ported exhaust and no cats
That was your Dyno pull right, @ 142 WHP.

yep on october 1st
it was called the toruqless wonder because the torque was terribly low (112)
142 was the corrected number after aerosynamics were applied, yes. the dyno jet is one where you apply drag co-efficients (if you have them) to calculate more precisely, otherwise they plug in there own universal number.
here was a shot taken with the camera phone on the screen of the jet, pre-correction. you can see it says 156 and 112. i'm going to scan my dyno sheet tomorrow at work and post it up as confirmation
i need to add a bit more info for you guys though... i was running my rcv half-shafts (4.3lbs), cerobear wheel bearings, as well as my drilled out rotors on rota slips. rotating mass was reduced around 15 pounds over-all.

only 15pounds overall? What size slipstreams you running? i have 16x7, they dropped about 35lbs overall from my street wheels... only like 20from my stock wheels/tires (keep in mind i have the heavy azenis on my slips). I love these wheels.. they're sexy, light, and cheap to replace! cept im losing my center capsAudacityracing wrote:

Are you running 110leader or unleader? how much are you paying for it?

leaded... right at 5 bucks a gallon (i hate it too). i don't drive it much except to events like dyno days and scca gatherings.
the rotas didn't pull much off because i was using some oz wheels before. i guess in comparison to stock, it's around 40 pounds-ish in the front alone, plus a way way way lower coefficient of friction on teh bearings. i have the full set for the transmission too, but haven't had time to put them in.
add a lsd and i loose power

which injectors r u on? will there be significant performance benefit from the performance fuel filter than any other besides cleaning the fuel?Audacityracing wrote:go find some dsm injectors...

you need a filter that will take added pressure from the fuel pump too. the die cast aluminum ones with the slip on fittings won't take a whole lot of pressure... be it at the hose barbs or the metal seams

no, you don't... by why wouldn't you?
larger injectors don't do anything for you unless you cram more air into the cylinder. turbo/supercharger is the only way to do that. unless you have a turbo or are planning on one soon... swapping out injectors for high flow ones like those is a waste of your money

go there... look under imports... look to the far right at the horsepower rating for each injector, multiply by 4, and figure out which ones you want to be running. to be honest... those top two are gonna be over-kill for your engine, but they'll work fine. anything above 500cc will be a waste of money for you
you can see the cheap ones are 65 bucks a piece, not bad for aftermarket ones. oem is 56 dollars each at www.gm-car-parts.com

could u put an ems then remove it after u programmed the ecu? r those hp per cylinder or total hp u should purchase?Audacityracing wrote:http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/precis ... ctors.html
