I'm not sure what kind of driving conditions you are in to replace it after 40,000km. I just checked my manual, the first fuel filter change is at 150,000 km.MMamdouh wrote:i have it mentioned very clear in my user's manual, fuel filter @ 40,000 kms... at half this distance mine is subistantially restricted.exist3nce wrote:I don't think it says anything in the maintainance schedule about changing the fuel filter this early?MMamdouh wrote: OMG i am sure it is blocked as hell by now... under my countrey's "nice" conditions the fuel filter gets clogged after some 20,000 kms so under the best reconing yours is blocked indeed.

i am sure this 150k kms is way over rated... my advice is still the same: check the fuel filter.

Mine had 25000 miles, the spark plugs looked perfect. Its 6.00 USD for 4 of the bosch cheap ones at autozone and its like a 15 minute swap, try it and you will thank me later. believe me it should work, if not oh well you got a new set of spark plugs you have nothing to lose.exist3nce wrote:I've already checked the spark plugs, they are in near perfect condition.daewhorider wrote:You need to replace your spark plugs. SAme thing happened to me at around 25000 miles. Now at 27000 and its still running great.
Well... I've replaced my fuel filter and at a test of 80mph, I got no misfire detection.
My theory is that the injectors just weren't getting enough fuel at around 70mph or so due to a dirty filter.
Seems to run a little better though, so I'm guessing that even if it isn't the problem (as in the problem still exists but I didn't have it happen again yet).
Cost me about $8 US for the new fuel filter.
