I made it home!!! WOOHOO!!!
3,751 miles (6036km) total.
Everything was great for the whole ride apart from the days of riding from 4:30AM to 8 or 9 at night.

Then it happened.

In the 3rd turn before my house, 5 miles away (8km) I slowed right down for a corner I turn every day. There was sand and gravel in the road and the front wheel just slid out from under me.

The bike went onto it's side and I rolled over into the grass without getting hurt at all.

The windshield is smashed, the right side foot peg is bent, the foot brake pedal is bent, the rear view mirror is broken, the fuel tank is dented and scraped and the pannier box and trunk got broken and badly scratched.

It actually sounds worse than it is.
The most work will be getting the tank straightened out and painted, or replaced.

Overall, I had a rolling good time! :p

thats similar (not really) to what happened to my brother. On the third day he had his ZX7R he was upstairs and heard a bang. The thing had fallen over. only scartches though, no cracks and tis onlt the lower fairing that got scratched, the tank and mrrors were fine

Pics of the damage :(

It's actually not too bad and most everything that was broken or damaged was removed so it is back to being a stock bike again.

The only damage to the bike itself are 2 small dents on the tank.
