i got electricuted too many times because of that... one time i was leaning on the ground with one knee on the tarmak... i felt the electricity running from my hand to the knee and into the ground :shock:

has anyone converted to an sftermarket ignition coil (msd, etc) for the woo? if i'm gonna be running a mega-squirt, i don't want that stock coil (which seems to be the current fad of problems)

By just looking at the wires they seam in perfect condition.. but they have at least 20k miles on them, probably 34k. My dads taking it to the shop now (i think its already there, im at school)

looks means nothing... my faulty wire looks as good as hell... OK it was a little dirty but nothing will tell you "i am bad" if you know what i mean.

it could be a very small deformaty in the wire's insulator that leaks... you won't be able to see a hole or so, only thing to do is watch the engine run during dark and i mean real dark... sparks make shiny arcs and usualy clicking sound, i was able to hear my bad cable with the hood closed.

I had a brand new faulty plug. It looked like it was firing ok when I took it out, hada take it to a shop to get it diagnosed. I pulled them out 3 different times and never caught it visually - and I never would have.

Something else to think of... why did it go away for a week when i unblocked the breather hose? I drive 15+ hours a week so it had PLENTY of chances to do it

My dad just called the ppl working on it. My dad doesnt know much about car but he told me they said it was something to do with one of the resistors. He said one of them fell apart when they touched it... they're going to call back shorty with a response. They said it could get expensive

another check up... they called my dad and told him they fixed it. My dad said they said something about a transformer... i told my dad i wanted to know exactly what it was and he said he just heard something about a transformer. Lol... my dad doesnt really care cuz the business is paying for it and its fix... :roll:


oh well... i GETTA RACE AGAIN THIS WEEKEND! :D so im happy

resistor?? :roll: not sure what the hell is that... try to get more details from the guy that worked on the car or a pic for the faulty part.

Ok i talked to the guys when i picked up my car ( i though my dad would end up picking it up). He said they almost missed it but the wiggle test came through. They said one of the injectors had been pulled on :shock: (who the hell would do that!) and they just had to solder the wire back togather... anyways its running great! woo!
