They will work what ever way you wire them, but if they are wired differently on each speaker, your speakers will be out of phase, and will result in a loss of bass and a muffled sound.

yeah i made sure i did them the same on each !! they still sound pretty crap due to the el cheapo head unit,so a new one of those and an amp are next !!

for those of you w/ith a lanos, how did you get around that stupid beam inside the door? it makes the mounting depth about 2" max.

i have a lanos and i have 6.5 inch speakers in my front doors, i mounted the speakers to the door pannel not the door.

you just haveto cut the stock speaker grill out and mount your new speakers and grill on the door pannel. or you can make a set of mdf spacer rings to mount to the door and you mount the speakers to them. kinda like the plastic things that the oem spekers mount to.
