Im not sure.. i may have hit 7k but im not sure cuz i didnt mean to so it dropped so fast (i pealing out and hit oil or something). I know i went over redline though.
Is there anyway i can make the rev limiter at 6300rpms without spending money? Or can i do it without spending much money?

i don't think ECU equipted cars don't have rev limiters... i have a 1.5 SOHC Lanos and i hit the rev limiter in neutral, first and second gears.
i don't know where exactly does the limiter kick in 'cause i don't have a tach on my car but it will be rather usless if it cuts anywere other than the begining of the red zone on the tach.
to test that, just floor the gas pedal in neutral till it reaches the red zone or a little higher... it should cut at that point or at 7000 rpm at max but in the end it should cut or else you have a problem with your engine managment. frankly i reommend against revving the engine that high past the red zone... the consequences will be horrifing
i think auto tranny Woos rev up to 4000 rpm only in neutral or so... still all new cars have limiters to prevent engine damage and i am sure as hell the Woos got them.

I know for a fact that it isnt limited below 6500rpms becuase i hit that all the time (redline).
I want a rev limiter at 6300rpms for racing... with autocross (solo2) you dont reach high speeds at all (the fastest speed reached on the last course was 55mph by a fixed up Viper) so there is plenty of time i want to kept the car at about 6.3krpms to keep the power high and all that. It is also really hard to tell what the RPMS are when im racing (i have a shiftlite too)
So my next question is.. can i get a rev limiter at 6.3krpms without spending like $500 on a MSD setup and all that stuff. I might if i have to since i do plan on going turbo which i would need to get that in the future anyways but i dont really want to do that right now

Ok you guys were right.. rev limiter kicks in at 6500rpm (redline) in nutural and 1st gear... But does it work for every gear?
I guess when i thought i went way over redline when i was paranoid about going anywhere near it... lol

it will kick in regardless of the gear you are in... it is directly related to engine rpm so the tranny is not part of the equasion.
i think in auto tranny Woos it will kick in at 4000 on neutral... i don't really know the reason behind that but i guess tranny damage can occur at high engine revving in neutral but i am not 100% sure.
