Thanks MM, I was looking at getting some 15s or something from pep boys up the road from me, $45 a piece. I am going for a darker color rim, not chrome. Everyone gives me shit for driving a daewoo, some kid at my school gave me shit, he drove his moms mini van, get got a brand new VW golf, I kicked his ass in a race, its not the car, its the driver. I dont race unless I know i will win. I am thinking about a carputer install sometime within the next month, being I am a computer geek. I have a laptop without a screen I use with a external screen, I figure it lasts about 1 month on standby on battery power, so I will never really have to shut it completely down, so really no startup times. I will use a 7 inch touch screen, already Have all my software written and installed on computer, have all the hardware but the screen. I need an affordable screen, and also an amp so I can run the sound right off of the laptops sound card. Figured I would just go headphone jack to RCA cable to amp, use the left and right to my advantage and have left to the front speakers and right to rear so I still have some control over sound output, and also install a GPS onto computer as well.

Unless you're gonna be driving at ridiculous speeds around the streets or on tracks, i severly doubt you'll need a spoiler like that. And as a point of view of the look, I don't think it'd suit your car man.

big spoilers are pretty much useless on front wheel drive cars as far as function is concerned.

but if u just want it to look nice, then whatever looks good to you is what you should use.

If you want to make a killer lanos, go with my footsteps... Hood scoop isn't included in the business...

if you want to install a hood scoop, make sure it actually has some function instead of just being another pretty feature. ie: cold air for intake, heat circulation, intercooler, etc.

as long as u dont put the hoodscoop on there without there being a hole in the bonnet, cos then people will just rip on your car some more.

a lot of people dont realise the potential of a Lanos (or most daewoos for that matter), so the best way to keep people from ripping on it is to make sure that evrything or at least almost evrything that you do to it has some sort of proper function instead of just being another cosmetic feature.

but if you want to make a show car, by all means do whatever you can to make it look as cool as you want, just make sure to show us all a pic of the trophies. ;)

good luck mate.

YTou don't wanna do that. Neons are illegal when driving, so hooking them up to your driving lights switch would be dumb. Remember they're only to be used for show use.

*Neons are legal in the US...Or at least in Florida they are. You just can't have blue ones or red ones. I see purple ones, white ones, and green ones all of the time. I also see park bench spoilers and hood scoops all the time too...doesn't mean it's a good idea.

If you're interested in making a car look fast and go...a hood scoop and spoiler will make you fail on BOTH fronts. They'll make your car look ricey, and also add ridiculous amounts of drag to the car. Weight could be a factor too. The only speeds that a spoiler would be useful at is 80+. This would push the rear of the car towards the ground, but the car's natural aerodynamic properties would push the front up (lift). In a rainstorm or a slick spot, the lack of traction could be catastrophic.

If you're interested in making the car look better. Tint the windows, lower it (Does a WORLD of good for our cars, and put on some new wheels. The car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro...he designed for Alfa, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati...and he didn't see fit to put on spoilers and hood scoops. The car's pretty enough as-is.
