Yes that link has been posted several times. There are drawbacks to remote mount setups as well. If you can find a shop that is competent at welding, its probably better to just do a regular setup using a custom manifold or manifold from another car with a new flange welded on.

For $3000 I could give you a low boost engine complete with turbo and everything required to hook it up. ( that's with an engine exchange)
I've offered engines before but nobody showed interest.
Case in point, GSE Turbo's built 2.0L 8V turbo..... I don't know if he finally sold it or not but it was on the board for ages.

hey Chris, that is a good point, if he found a complete turbo Sunbird or Grand Am that would be a super affordable way to go.PrecisionBoost wrote:For $3000 I could give you a low boost engine complete with turbo and everything required to hook it up. ( that's with an engine exchange)

...however I did finally sell all my C20GET parts to a guy in Canada
I read in a magazine article where the feature car had this set-up. The owner said that there was no pressure drop.daewoomofo wrote:they arent very efficient
I was surprised by that cos i thought you could get pressure drop even from long intercooler piping.
I guess if you get all the maths right for the piping it would work.
One benefit would be the saving in both money and space with not having to get a big exhaust manifold. The engine bay would also run a lot cooler...
yea no pressure drop but turbo lagbenzino wrote:I read in a magazine article where the feature car had this set-up. The owner said that there was no pressure drop.daewoomofo wrote:they arent very efficient
