Broken wrist pin?????

Is this something you know for sure or something someone has told you?

I've never heard of a wrist pin breaking before the piston or connecting rod.... the wrist pins in these Opel engines are large and very hard to break.

I have tool steel racing wrist pins, but that's because I'm looking at 650 WHp... I'm pretty sure all the 375WHp and less engines are running stock pins

Of course I'm assuming your talking about the pin that connects the piston to the connecting rod.... which is press fit on your car.

If that's not what your talking about, please elaborate on your definition of a wrist pin

Well I have to tell you that it's probably a 1000:1 chance that it's a wrist pin..... I can't even imagine how the mechanic would manage to diagnose that.... the wrist pins are practically impossible to see unless you have the piston/rod out.

You say the engine is running..... does it knock ?

I'm mainly asking here because there might be a few people interested in the engine if it's in rebuildable condition.... so the more we know about it the better.

Need both right and left front windshield visors also the middle (SX) light part between the visors. How much for these parts.
