Firstly, let me point you to my UOA results at BITOG:
http://theoildrop.server101.com/ubb/ult ... 3;t=001887
The engine oil suffered greater than 4% fuel dilution with is indicative of a rich fuel management system. I hope this is normal. The good news is that the wear is very low.
The oil I was using is a 5W20 from Royal Purple.
Also please visit this thread also in BITOG:

I can't help much here because my Aveo uses the 1.4L F14D3-G engine. The US Aveos use the same engine as the Lanos.
Thanks.
My Aveo is suffering from fuel dilution issues

Sounds like there are a lot of things going on.... fuel grade issues, long trips at high rpm with a new motor.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lower grade fuel would have troubles burning completely at higher RPM levels.
Perhaps you might want to check the results again with your regular driving and a good grade of fuel (as opposed to hours of high rpm at a single speed with low grade fuel )
It seems that there are quite a few Daewoo's that run a little rich so I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same with your 1.4L...especially if it's trying to keep away from detonation.
That seems like a strange engine code... did you read it off the block?
Where are you from??

Most 5W30 will shear down to a 5W20 .
Unless I buy an ACEA A3 rated oil like Castrol SLX 0W30 no point putting in a 5W30. I will keep monitoring. I believe the oil got into trouble due to that single high speed run plus that low grade fuel. Sure it can use it but only for trotting around city roads.

150kmh/93mph really isn't all THAT fast for a 1.4L engine.
The 1994 Hyundai Excel with a 1468cc engiene I used to own had over 200,000 miles/321,000 km on it was driven almost daily on my hour and a half drive to and from work at around 100mph/160kmh for most of the 9 years that I owned it.
That never caused the engine to run rich and in fact the car had very little, if any problems at all, other than it's normal maintenance needs.
The car was driven so much, for a while it was needing it's 3,000 mile oil changes every two weeks! It also regularly received Teflon oil treatments, weather it was Slick50 or the Fram Double Guard oil filters with Teflon in them.
Even at the time I sold the car, upon pre-sale inspection, all 4 cyllinders had 120 pounds of compression and the car would still leave black marks on the road and squeel away in 1st, 2nd and chirp tires in 3rd gear.
LOL ... I regret ever selling that car because of it's wonderful gas milage.
Maybe I was just lucky and got a car that held together very well. Who knows...
Your car running as rich as you said really sounds like a fuel mangement issue.
