Turbo for Aveo 1.6l to be announced at 2004 SEMA

Post by Brian5475E »

Well just got off the phone with a friend in cali, he has some connections with some people from SEMA. He said that a company will be producing a turbo for the 1.6l with 6 psi boost. He didn't tell me the company or how much power it will produce, but he said to keeep my eyes open around SEMA time, 1st week of nov. So finally people are listening to the Daewoo owners

I don't know why you guys say this.... the 1.6L has been around since 1981 when the Holden engine plant in port melbourne Australia first started producing Gen II engines.

To say the 1.6L is only getting support from the Aveo is not entirely true... it's just the first aftermarket support in North America.

I'm sure if you did some digging you would find older Vauxhall and Opel vehicles running the 1.6L with a turbo in shows accross Europe and the UK.
