hello guys. im new to the forum . so i recently got a modern green aveo hatch 5spd since the car is new and still under warranty (for another 5 years or so) i dont want to void the warranty so i'm going to wait it out hopefully ther will be some aftermarket in 5 years, anyway i want to put a k&n filter in the aveo but they dont have one for it yet , now i know that the aveo has the same engine as the lanos, will the lanos k&n fit my aveo?

Hello and welcome to the forum!! 
The K&N for the Lanos will fit with no problems, and I do not think it will void your warranty in any way.
Any generic cone filter will fit your car, too, if you have an extension pipe of some sort, such as the one sold at Pep Poys for the Civic. However, the one for the Civic will need to be cut and shortened by .. I think ... 4 inches?
Someone who has done this, please reply with the correct year model Civic intake pipe to use, and how much it has to be shortened.
As I haven not done this to my car yet, I don't have the specifics on it.
