omfg accident

Post by kinkyllama »

Hit and run. The Lacetti is fixable and isn't too bad but I'm broke and have no idea when it'll get fixed.

The hood got a little messed up, even the roof, both doors, the fenders really messed up, and the windshield. I'm really not sure If I ever want to try to turbo this car, the luck I've had with it is terrible. Basicly I need to fix the fender and windshield and it'll be drivable. The fender I hopefully can do myself but I can't afford a new windshield...I just spent $300 on a new window with tint and need to pay $400 cash in the morning for the shipping of my lanos.

Shit, what the hell happened? Were you parked/driving? Maybe it was those assholes who tried to steal your stereo coming back for revenge.

Is this your black Forenza? I'm out of the loop as to which cars you own.

Why don't you go through insurance? sounds like a couple grand worth of damage.... might be worth while

Does sound like those guys came back to get back at you for what you did to their car.

Yes it was my black forenza...yes I was driving, it was a hit and run. Not my fault AT all.

I'm not even getting insurance involved. I called a week ago to add my aftermarket parts to my coverage and apparently they won't cover any cars if the suspension is modified in ay way shape or form. So incase something much worst happens by the time I find a new insurance company I don't want to risk covered. If my car got totaled I'd put a bunch of stock parts on it.

Man you really are having a string of bad luck. Hope you can get things sorted and still carry on with some of your plans.

I'll take pictures if I can... I don’t know if I posted but all our families cameras were stolen last year and I had been using my Moms new one...but of course it got stolen about 7 weeks ago. Now I'm using my GFs but she has it right now.

I think I can fix it...or at least make it drive able and not too ugly. The only thing I got to dig in my pockets for is a new windshield. I'm going to talk around to friends to see if anyone works at a place that does it or something. I have a nitrous kit that I can trade for it too. haha.

I should be getting my lanos any min and I'm waiting for Garrett to send my 2.0 mounts. It'll probably be a long process considering I've never done an engine swap or ANY kind of tranny work.

Are you sure your insurance can't take care of the windshield alone? I know Florida has a law that the insurance company HAS to change the windshield free of charge in the event of damage/breaking.

Maybe Arizona is the same way.

I'm just trying to fathom the type of accident it could be if you damaged the hood, the windshield, the fenders, both doors, and the roof....

It really does sound like a totalled car...

I don't know how it happened with the roof honestly. I got hit on the driver side fender. I'm sure, I don't have glass coverage anyways.

I can def make it look decent...I hoping I can get it to look perfect again but I'm sure a body shop can if I can't. The way everythings dented seams pretty friendly.
