Anyone know if these 'DiskLoks' are properly any good?
I've heard of these steering wheel immobilizers being useless, but most of the times ive heard of that, it's been the bars, or ones that only semi cover the steering wheel. The reason being that you can cut the steering wheel, pulling each side apart and slide the locks out. But these cover the entire steering wheel, front and back. I've heard a few very good remarks about these and they seem to be the reccommended thing to go for.
Anyone here any ideas? I live in a pretty high risk area where car crimes concerned :/

I've a kill for my fuel pump which is ran through the fuse box so, right away they wont be able to jump in and start it. And it's not obvious it's a kill for the pump, nor is it a switch.
It'll also be blocked in by another car in my driveway, but I'm not taking any chances. I dont mind paying 80 quid for a lock. It'll last a life time. I also usually unplug the coil lead if its gonna be sitting for a while.
I've also got a stupid flashing red led for use as a deterent.
If some scumbag who doesnt know much about a car, tried to steal it he, or she wont be able too, but believe me he'll still try.. But if you get someone with half a clue and realises there's no coil lead or the fuel pumps going, the fuel pump can be livewired, but no coil lead? There's no real fix for that like.
I've just been concidering my options.
This'll last near a lifetime, so it'll be worth it if it's any good. I dont wanna spend 80 quid on something that'll be crap, which is why i asked about it here, to see if anyones got any experience.
I dont want to spend all this time preparing my car, fixing it, making it more personal and more my own, for some scumbag to come and try and relieve me of my pride and joy. So, 80 quid now, when i have it, is better than waking up and not having a car..

No coil lead no fire either lol The pump things not a killswitch as such. Seeing as we reloomed the car. We still used the daewoo fuse box. And the Vauxhall fuel pump relay, which controls power to, spark, fuel and a few other things. So, disconnecting that, pretty much disables the lot.
I think I will go for one. I've heard a few people with high performance cars [hah, not that mine is] saying they're the best you can get of that type of thing, apart from a detachable steering wheel, but we'll not go into that lol.

What was it, just a removable bar that goes therough the wheel and steering rack?
If so, that'd constantly make me frightened to drive lol. Wondering if it'll ever come loose.. Idealy I'd want a removable one :P But that's never gonna happen in my woo. Ever like lol.
I've been thinking more and more of turning it into a gte, but i like the look of the back of it too much

I've never seen that product so I can't comment on it.
+1 for the ignition kill switch though. I made one for myself too, except it cuts power to the whole ECU lol. It doubles as an ECU reset switch when theres issues as well.

Fuck it i bought it lol.
Had the money and I feel like treating my car. Might get my arches done sometime between summer and christmas. 400/500 quid :S
But i have a really good feeling about this car, if i treat it right it'll treat me even better. It has done so far, up untill the running on 3 cylinders, but that wasnt the cars fault we put a different engine in >_>
Where do yous put your switches for these killswitches?
