I haven't been on the forum in the last few months, so I wasn't sure if this came out before, but it looks as though AEM finally produced an intake for the Aveo 1.6. Meaning they also produced an intake for the Lanos 1.6 (assuming that the body dimensions are identical...which I think they are).
Price is $206.99 on Jegs.
Does anyone know if the intake is interchangeable with the Lanos? I figure it would be, but does anyone know any better?
There is also this one website:
http://aftermarketaveo.com/
With plenty of aftermarket parts for the Aveo. I would like to know if the Lowering Springs, Magnecor wires, and M-Tech Short Shift linkage are interchangeable with the Lanos?
I'm guessing a "Yes" on all four parts, but better safe than sorry...
AEM CAI for Aveo/Lanos.

Actually I think the changes in the frame of the aveo compared to the lanos make the intake not quite fit...It'd be easier to make it fit than making your own though I bet. As for the short shifter...I remember someone saying that the aveo and lanos were different enough to not be interchangeable but I never saw an actual test.

The short shifter will fit...and I don't see why the linkage wouldn't. Same transmission and mostly the same platformjidasas wrote:I remember someone saying that the aveo and lanos were different enough to not be interchangeable but I never saw an actual test.

So does anyone know definitively if the Aveo and the Lanos can use the same CAI?
I'm using a cheap eBay one from an Integra GS-R and I'm pretty sure I can get a much better flow pattern if I switch to the one-piece AEM with the Dryflow filter... I just want to be sure when I order... I don't want to mess around with returns to Jegs... especially if I might have to pay a restocking fee.
