A couple of weeks ago the car start with some noise in the engine bay. Then after one or two weeks start with a new one . I take the car to the mechanic for a tune up, was it 10th birth day so was about time for it. They said that the noise was the power steering pump, I get one from Beto and take the car yesterday for the swap but the noise is till there. The pump is not new but the sound is exactly the same so I'm almost sure that is not the pump.
The sound is on the side where the belt runs. If I can compare the sound is like the one that the car make when is in reverse. As faster I go the louder it is.
In the tune up I change, water pump, oil pump, rollers, tensor, belt now the power steering pump. Any help here?
I still need to change the rack and pinion, but I don't think that this had any thing to do.

Is that what that is? The whine happens when it's overtightened?
I just recently got all my belts changed and they've been whining ever since. I figured there was a break-in period that would allow the whine to stop, but it's still going on as strong as ever. It didn't bother me, but crap, now I have to adjust them!

Many engines, including Daewoo, provide automatic self-adjustment for the timing belt. This keeps the belt at the proper tension at all times.
By replacing the tensioner pulley and the water-pump when you install a new t-belt, you will know how many miles you can go before you need replacement's which is considered "maintenance"
The accessory belts (A/C, alternator ect..) when installed (new) need to be re-adjusted after 10 minutes of running time.
I agree, if a belt is too tight it can stress bearings.
If it's too loose it will slip, squeek and screeach.
