I have a 95 Espero that wont turn over .. no the battery is not flat
It was intermittently failing to starting until today. Previously it just require a tap on the starter solenoid and off she would go.
My guess is that the solenoid was the initial fault, but now something else has failed.
Now, when I turn the key to start I am not getting 12v to the solenoid. When I disconnect the start wire from the solenoid I was only getting about 8v. What drives this? I would have though a relay but I cant find it. Maybe directly from the ignition barrel?
Does anyone have the workshop manual for this car?
You can download a manual (in romanian) at http://www.eserviceinfo.com/ . Get the 10 *rar files and extract them. On page 14-16 you'll see the circuit.
I guess you knew that the relay is inside the solenoid.

P.S. If you find a service manual in english pls share it.
i know it sounds too simple but check the fuses... i was retarded and replaced my starter and didnt check fuses and it turned out i had 2 blown fuses... but it was ok i took my old starter to a mechanic and he said the starter was probly going to die soon anyways it was a oldddd starter.
