I actually moved the complete filter to where my battery used to be situated. From the turbo I then have a flexible pipe connecting the filter to the turbo. On race days I mount he filter almost directly on the turbo. The conversion from Hi to LOW takes about 5 minutes so it is OK. I was considering moving the battery to the boot myself, as i also want ot move the airfilter up out of harms way and find a place to mount my an oil cooler and remote filter. only problem is....... there is sound in the boot and no place to put my deep cycle Deltec battery.
I was gonna cut the boot floor and weld in a box, but there is no place for that either. fun and games.....
But jha, it's definate in the plans to move the filter upwards, possibly with a "scoop" on the bonnet for geting cool air to it.
Good job on your Woo though man, and i share in your pain as far as re-builds go, hurts the pocket a bit but that the life of a car modifyer, i guess we could always just spend over R6K and month and buy an OPC.... but where is the fun in that Bwahahaha

Hi Sean
I agree - what to do with a brand new OPC???? - My buddy (Also Sean) had a Opel TS (Opelboyz), a very nice and fast car, sold it because he was through with turbo cars HA HA until he drove my WOOOOO!
He has just bought an OPC and it has probably 1000KM on the clock. He mentioned something about chipping it already.... LOL
At least our cars do not cost us R4 500 EVERY month. Once it is sorted with the right goodies it is just basically normal "maintenace" associated with turbo cars
