Connecting Rods?

Post by TheRiseIsTheFall »

I'm curious does anyone know where I can get performance connecting rods for a 99 leganza? I figure stock can only handle around 200 hp(that sound right?)

Found out the mechanic lied when I took off the head noticed I had four perfect pistons and rings.. All I need is a new set of valves(cam followers). But, it's too late to stop now(it'd be like pulling out mid-orgasm cause you feel "itchy" lol, I:E Too Late) I've already bought a bunch of new parts for it, so I guess I can thank him for lying to me.. cause now I gonna haul ass:)

Thanks again,

Jon

well the 2.2 has been run upwards of 250hp on a dyno, the rods would ne fine so long as you used ARP rod bolts.

if you want forged steel rods you will have to get them out of the UK at $600 plus postage. HERE IS A LINK

the only other option is a fully custom set and you are looking at about $800-$1000 that way.

Thanks for the advice, hmm.

Oh yea, I sent you a few eails from (WalkIntoTheLight88) And was wondering if you could still make me the cover for my engine(I don't want carbon fiber though) I'd like the cover to say "Da' Woo" is that plausible? I would like the heads but will have to wait till my next check comes in to order them(1 to 2 weeks).

Thanks, Jon

glad to help...

as for the cover, do you want the spark plug cover or do you want a full engine cover? aslo, do you want the letter raised (which is no problem), paint or decal is another option.

how much for a full engine cover? (I believe you quoted 50 to 60 on the spark plug cover) Yes, I'd like the letters raised.:)

Maybe "Da' Woo" in red raised letters?

Edit: Btw, How much are you selling your modified engine for?

I'll have to see just how involved the cover will be, I'll have to PM you once I get a better idea on price.
