in the same sense, why dont all manufactures build engines with smoother headers (ie: a port n polish job on any engine does it good)...

there are many why's about how comanies build their cars and engines... at the end of the day time is money and time spent in over-development and detailed research is overlooked.

the indian motor company TATA has started further development into the 'Singh' grooves and are looking into using it on their future cars.

i think this is something i'd probably do to my engines head if i ever get round to taking it off, and the fact that i've just ordered a 160pc dremel tool kit will probably help the groove cutting go a bit quicker and easier.

i recon the grooves can be done during casting or so... it is not as time consuming job as the port and polish... just a modification in the head mold or whatever they use to cast a brand new head

but the majority of companies think its bogus.

so they dnt spend money on researching which grooves works best.

hence, the grooves never being made.
