In around -10 degrees to around 10 degrees. When I start the car it makes a loud whining noise. I am wondering what and where that noise is coming from and if it is normal. I have a 2001 1.6L Lanos with about 10,000 miles on it. (Just a few specs). Thank you in advance.

Yea it was only 5,00 dollars. I got it from an old lady who only drove it to church and the super market. It still smells brand new.
