I'd say you could if you can lower the Compression somewhere else, ie another head gasket, different head etc
Don't quopte me on that though

Whats your engine code?

Yes... but more then 1/2 atm and you're asking for trouble
(1 atm ~ 14.7 psi)

+1

7 psi max...which would be a decent power gain.

i see, i just misunderstood, i thought you were asking if you could interchange different parts but you were asking if you could modify the motor you have, right?

if so then yes, two questions though, what kind od power do you want to get and waht do you want to spend?

It's A16DM. You could do it, without opening the engine... The CR is 9.5:1 and it could work on 7psi maybe on 10psi on overboost for a few seconds...

Here is one guy with over 200HP on stock engine... Now he has better pistons and have 300HP... On this engine...

The etech could be disengaged/taken off completely...you'd just need to take your intake manifold off and remove all the butterflies inside it. Ideally you would have it ported and polished then along with the having the intake side of the head port matched to the intake. The etech will not give a cel if not hooked onto the intake...just find a way to tie the wire back against the firewall.

e-tec is great thing. Why to disable it? It enables longer runners for low rpm, and short runners for high rpm...

I'm sorry that c20xe doesn't have VGIS like that... :(

c20xe has 2 butterflys in the inlet though, one small one big, the small one opens when the accel is only slightly put down, which is ideal for stuff like city driving and motorways, and the larger one opens when the smaller one's opened when accelerating harder/WOT

I honestly can't say 1 bad thing about a c20xe, if driven and maintained properly they'll never let you down... Like most things, I know. but the only fault is the head goes pourous from over revving. But you shouldnt be over revving anyway so...
