New Exhaust
I am finally going to finish off my exhaust with a new cat and eliminating the first cat. I hope this will make a difference!

Actually it's not at all like that. It's not high pitched whiny or anywhere near as annoying as civics.
Maybe my really bad use of words trying to describe a sound without using the word [tinny] led you to think that, but it's not that raspy whine you get from civics...
At all.

My $0.02 worth (in USD of course) :)
Just my 2 cents worth here and nothing personal.
I'm young enough remember back to the 50's when smog control was a breather pipe running from the crankcase to open air.
Back then "emission control" was a condom.
And guys ran dual "straight pipes" out of flathead V8's Fords.
Wo0o0o0o0o-Who0o0o0o !!!! now that was loud! A straight piped Harley Davidson couldn't hold a candle to that !
So, have fun while you can with your 'tinny' sounding smog emitting 4 cylinder.
And know that strict federal, state, country and even world smog control rules are nippin at your heels.

^mine thus far, 1.75" pipe with dual cans, i love it! i was gonna punch the cat but i dont want nothin raspy.
Not atm no as the car hasnt moved in a while. I'll try and get one soon. Need to set my fuel pressure regulator as it splutters at low rev when you're WOT
Your's sounds nice, mines isnt that loud, it's just nice, sounds nice, not loud at idle which is what i wanted, so i can sensibly drive it and not sound like im going flat out :b
