btw love the sound of the BOV, didnt knew the RFL sounded that good
Yup lol. Most of the people I show the car to don't really notice whats done until I point things out haha.
The BOV I've had for a while, been thinking about changing it. I want the HKS SSQV, but I tried my friend's out and for some reason it doesn't open properly for me. It almost seems like theres not enough vacuum to fully open it. I even made a new vacuum source directly off the brake booster line, but it didn't help.

Been experimenting with a couple things. One of them is charge side wastegate or as I like to call it "boostgate" lol. I've bought a new Turbosmart 38mm UltraGate and we've welded it to the charge pipe. My boost is now regulated through this instead of an exhaust side wastegate. It actually works really well and sounds cool. Had to make another video while I was testing how stable the boost is.
I know you guys are probably getting bored of these videos with nearly the same setup. I should have some more significant upgrades coming in the new year.
I've been wanting to try a larger turbo for a while and finally it has happened. My shop had an extra used T04B that was on their boosted IS300 for about 2 months before being swapped out for something alot larger haha.
Here it is:
Authentic Garrett T04B/T4 V-trim (max of 450hp) - 0.58 AR exhaust housing:
Here it is compared with my old T3/T4:
Adapter T4 flange welded onto manifold T3 flange:

How is it compared to your old one? Whats the fully spooled rpm difference between the too?
haha wanted to get all those pics posted up first. And we didn't tune it until tonight.
Theres definitely a difference. Its more laggy, but not as much as I feared. Throttle response off boost has been improved significantly with the much larger exhaust turbine. Power delivery is smoother and it pulls harder in top end (above 4k). Also sounds better and smoother thanks to our custom ported/slotted compressor housing.
On the dyno I get full boost by about 4000rpm, but it steadily builds before that (meaning its not like nothing nothing nothing then a kick in the ass lol).
