so the fsm calls for 89inch lbs for the the valve cover gasket my nuts were real loose a couple were movable with just fingers. so i realized my torque wrench goes down to 10 ft lbs and I needed 7.5 ft lbs. i just went ahead and torqued them to 10 ft lbs until I replace the gasket and round up an inch lb wrench which i'll have to order.

just be careful if the head is aluminum...I'm not sure how tight it can be before you strip the bolt holes.

what i always do with gaskets is tighten them till you see the gasket squeeze out a little bit, not a whole lot bit just a "C hair" im sure i go over 7.5 ft lbs amd ive never had a problem. as long as you didnt feel it slip you should be ok
