I finally had to replace the battery in my 2001 lanos and the radio wants the code now. I couldn't find it so I tried a few and then it locked me out completely. I looked on the forums a bit and found a bunch code lists but I don't see anything about the radio locking you out completely. Nothing comes up on the display at all so I can't enter any code into it. Anyone had this problem/have any ideas? I don't really want to invest in a new head unit right now, I just want my radio back.
Unhook the battery for a bit and hook it back up...I think after three codes consecutively it locks you out. Try entering a code and if it doesn't work turn the car off and then enter the next code. Maybe it won't lock that way.
I've tried disconnecting the battery and hooking it back up, if never has unlocked for me. If I could get it to unlock I'd just keep doing that till I got the right code, but at the moment it seems I can't do anything with it.
