well i got inspired to finish my carbon fiber hood once i got a look at mr_g's headlight conversion.

once that ball got rolling it was only a matter of time before the the rest of the project gets under way.

very true, even though it's it's only mocked up you get a good idea of the direction i'll be going in.

i'll likely have several hundred hours in body and chassis when it's done but it will be well worth it.

getting ready to build the motor just waiting on the head gasket and rod bearings.

in the meantime i'll post some pics of what's been going on.

Wait is that a fully carbon hood or just lay? Either way lookin good. I see those fender flares, what width tires you planning on running?

i used the steel hood to get the shape instead of making a mold. i'll separate the the carbon from the steel hood and then use panel bond to adhere to the glass frame i made.

i'm not sure on the width yet, i'd like to go with a 16x7.5 or 8 with a 50 or 55 series tire.

this is a 15x8, 25 offset (offset might be too much) 4x100
