Interior/dash lights not working!!

Post by haribo »

Ok got in my Leganza 1999 sx couple of days ago and turned the ignition on, then as usual turned on the lights and suddenly all the interior dash/ speedo lights and front fogs went off. At first thought it was probably a fuse so had a look in the fuse box under the hood and passenger side foot well and all fuses are ok.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated as its driving me mad trying to sort this out, car is also due for an MOT in 3 weeks and will not pass as it is so thats why trying to sort everything out now.

thanks guys.

have you checked the interior light fuse with a multimeter? sometimes a fuse will look ok but will be blown.

Plus 1.... And if you took mofo's advice, than by now you probably know for sure if your fuse is good or not.
So, if you still have the problem? It may be the fog relay. I am not 100 percent sure if all the stuff that went out on you may first get its power from the fog relay. But it's possible and wouldn't hurt to check it.
Test the relay socket with your meter for battery power. Should show about 12 volts. If it does than the relay is suspect.
